Lucca Allen secured another top twenty finish in the latest round of the British Sportbike Championship at the Snetterton circuit in Norfolk this past weekend.
Qualifying further down on the grid than expected due to a range of factors, the #77 MPR Racing rider powered his Suzuki forward in the opening laps – ensuring he was running with the main group and in contention for championship points.
A few near crashes caused him to lose the pack and after battling hard all race he crossed the line twentieth.
The series moves to Brands Hatch, a circuit that has been kind to Lucca in the past and so both he and the team are optimistic of a strong showing at the iconic Kent venue in a couple of weeks.
Lucca Allen:
“I was able to stick with the main pack for the first part of the race and improved on my best lap time of the weekend. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the best feeling with the front of the bike which caused me issues with making the bike turn through the infield section of the track. I felt like I was going to lose the front. I had a big moment at Turn 4, and I almost crashed and then for the rest of the race I was in a group but unable to move forward. It’s a bit frustrating that we went the wrong way with set-up but it’s all part of the game. It is was it is and we move on to Brands Hatch in a couple of weeks with the aim of starting strong and finishing in the points which is where we belong!”
